Inspiration

Having made some personal revelations and making a commitment to myself I realised that I have been find inspiration from movies and TV Shows for awhile. It was only today as I reflected on my recent thoughts and journey that my TV and Movie viewing has been telling me something even when I wasn't really aware of it myself. My favourite DVD's that I have been watching lately When I looked deeper into he plots and characters I realised a few things. The Good Wife - Strong lead female character Alicia who develops from the tragedy that was her marriage plastered across the front pages to a powerhouse of her own choosing No Reservations - About cooking and following your passions and opening your heart Burlesque - Escaping your past and following your dreams. Getting back up when it gets tough and believing in yourself. Julie & Julia - Following your passion for cooking and blogging. A Sad Day...

Yesterday Social Media was full of the sad news that Paul Walker, actor from my favourite movies Fast & Furious died in a car crash. While I never knew him, as a fan it saddens me to lose someone with so much talent. My heart goes out to his family and friends. It seems so senseless. I hope that he lived everyday to the fullest and realised how much he added to the world. From his movies to his charity work, he certainly made a difference to the world. So to you Paul, a shining star now in heaven. Thank you for all your shared with the world. xxx

This has started me looking around at options and noticing the use of these great ideas as part of catering at all sorts of functions. Including a fundraising lunch I attend recently, where there wa small Candy Bar on each table with volunteers selling little paper bags for you to get your fill. What a great idea. I wanted to share my research with you. What do you think? Do you like the idea of a serve yourself Candy bar? have you seen one that you liked or perhaps put one together for your own party? Crushing on....

Do you ever get so obsessed with something that it's all you can think about? For an example a song, a dress, a culture or a food. I do. A lot. So I thought to help my obsession or to maybe even get me over my current obsessions I thought I would share them. Food - Avocado and Feta Mash. Simple and oh so tasty. Just mash an avocado together with crumbled feta  Serve on toast, with tortilla chips, as a dish with poached eggs. Almost anywhere. Try adding extras like lemon juice, chopped tomatoes or fresh herbs. If you are in Melbourne head to Moulin Noir in Port Melbourne who do a mean version. Movie - So I am going to cheat here and go with a franchise of AMAZING movies. Fast & The Furious. Absolutely obsessed with these. and there is a new one out,  Fast & Furious 6 . Vin Diesel, Paul Walker,  fast cars and non stop action. Do I need to say more? Looking forward to seeing it this week So...
